I get the message “No instrument drivers are installed” when I try to create a protocol with my VICTOR.

If you intend to use WorkOut with a connected VICTOR WorkOut should be installed after the VICTOR manager software. If you install the WorkOut 2.0 software and then install the VICTOR manager software then WorkOut 2.0 will not be able to use the VICTOR software.
(If you install WorkOut 2.0 software before the Wallac VICTOR manager software then during installation you will be warned that you must re-install WorkOut after installing the VICTOR manager software.)
This problem can be resolved without having to re-install WorkOut by making the following change to the registry:
From Start | Run, type:
regedit
Within the registry editor, navigate to the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dazdaq\Manta
In the right hand pane look for the key named:
DisableHLDs
Double-click on this item and set its value to 0.
Now launch WorkOut 2.0 and the VICTOR driver can be used to control the VICTOR.
