This is a known issue with Stingray/WorkOut 1.5.
If using a version of Excel later than Excel/Office 2000 then the Make Excel option does not work (this is a known issue in WorkOut 1.5 which was produced before these later versions). To workaround this you can copy and paste endpoint data by selecting the wells to copy in the microplate data view, right-click | Copy and then paste into Excel. For exporting kinetic data, an upgrade to Manta/WorkOut 2.x is required.
