It is not mathematically correct to
extrapolate a Cubic Spline, however a number of applications require this feature.
Rather than using the Cubic Spline segments (with continuous derivatives)
outside the range of standards, the software supports extrapolation by
assuming a linear relationship between X and Y outside of the Cubic Spline
range. This option can be specified (i.e. you
can allow/disallow extrapolation) using the Range tab of the Standard
Curve Fit transform properties.
